Dream Analog Review — Goldmine Magazine

Grace Gravity, a band helmed by Teri Hitt on vocals and acoustic guitar and featuring June Kato on bass, James Whelan on keys, Brian David Hardin on drums, and various backing singers — makes an engaging impression with their new album, Dream Analog, a seductive set of songs with a decided allure and intrigue.

Hitt herself is a haunting vocalist, her high pitch delivery often bringing Joni Mitchell to mind. Occasional brass flourishes provide added intrigue, demonstrating the fact that Grace Gravity have both the spark and imagination needed to attract extra attention.

The songs center on a common theme — that is, the perception of what constitutes reality in these uncertain times and how one’s perception of self can help find a center in shifting situations. Keynote song “Whatcha Gonna Do?” provides a propulsive pulse while tracks like “Keep It Together,” “It’s Coming On,” “The Long Road,” Something New Can Grow,” and “Who U R” further affirm that positive perspective and the need to keep that dream — analog or otherwise — alive and thriving. — Lee Zimmerman, GOLDMINE, The Music Collector’s Magazine. https://www.goldminemag.com

Remember Who You Are

Whatever goes on, remember you are in a process of becoming.

Becoming You is a life-long thing.
Stop and smell the flowers and embrace the good around you. The time to POWER ON is NOW.
Here’s a song for along the way… Who U R

It’s Coming On

Do you feel the changes inside yourself?
Have you recently discovered more about who you are? Has the world changed around you?
Parallel realities combining…

New Video: In the Center

From Dream Analog
An AAA recording: recorded + mixed + mastered analog.

LYRICS

When you find out you’re mistaken
when the road your on takes a turn
Just remember
every road
eventually must bend

In the subtle underpinnings
of the life you thought you were leading
there’s a core of believing you must maintain
through the change

There’s a crystal shining vision in the center
if you’re willing
in the center

In dreams you’ve had whisperings
pieces of puzzle falling down
on the table before you
but you’re missing one more sound

The truth in perpetual motion
revealing as it goes
what to give attention
and what you best ignore

There’s a crystal shining vision in the center
if you’re willing
in the center
There’s a crystal shining vision in the center
if you’re willing
in the center

you can get there
you can get there
you can get there
you can get there
In The Center

Documentary in the works!

Teri Hitt at Laughing Tiger Studio in Northern California. Recording a part for Dream Analog.

We shot a bunch of video and photos during the process of making this all analog record. It was 4 years in the making all and all.  I’ve been editing a short documentary about the process of making Dream Analog.

Recording Analog is quite different from the process of digital recording. I think it’s important to preserve analog recording processes for future generations. I hope more musicians will get to hear their music recorded analog and realize the “extra” benefits of recording this way.

Editing this is a high jump for me (to say the least) but I’m slowly putting it together. It will be released later this year.

Wishing you all the best in these strange and revealing times. Take good care of yourself. Lift yourself up through the chaos to a better perspective, a happier, more at peace state of being. That’s where you belong.
